NCLEX passer currently in CALI

Postby chin_chin629 on Sat Jun 21, 2008 9:04 pm

Hi everyone! I just graduated my BSN in the Philippines last year 2007 and took my NCLEX exam last march 2008. Fortunately I pass. im currently in caifornia on a tourist visa, but im planning to change it to student so that i could stay longer here and just wait for the retrogression to be over. I just would like to ask if is it possible to hire a nurse on an H1-B visa or does it need to be on an EB-3 visa? As far as I know H1-B visa are only filed 1st day of April. I got a job offer in connecticut and the nurse recruiter said that we must file for a change of status and work permit. Is this possible even if there's still retrogression? If I change my visa to student, can I be employed as a trainee in a hospital? Can somebody pls help me regarding my status? If there is any nurse recruiter here that can help me with my employment search pls feel free to contact me anytime. I really need your help! You can also contact me through my YM. My user name is also my email add in yahoo. Thanks in advance!
