Nurse seeking job in USA

Nurse seeking job in USA

Postby Tsetan Lhadon on Fri Dec 07, 2007 11:32 am

I am a Tibetan Nurse, who is born and brought up in India, currently working in reputed hospital in PUNE since two years after completion of 3 years course in the same hospital. My aim is to reach US, where I can earn some good pay for my work. I came to learn that I need to give a test to qualify for a job in US. What is that and where do I need to do it and How?

It would be grateful, if somebody can help me out.

Hi there Tsetan Lhadon:

Yes you do need to pass the NCLEX-RN exam, and the first thing you need to do is choose the State where you would like to live and work. Then you can submit your application along with the requirements to the Regulatory and Licensing authority of that State. In some states, they require you to pass the CGFNS qualifying exam but there are other States that only requires the NCLEX-RN exam. Please note that other States may also require your credentials to be evaluated. Afterwards, you may now register for the Exam at Pearson Vue. If you have anymore concerns you may visit teh NCSBN website https://www.ncsbn.org

GOOD LUCK...
