Questions about the CGFNS and NCLEX exams?

am i assured of passing the visa screen when i passed?

am i assured of passing the visa screen when i passed the cgfns exam?can i bring with me my family?

The Visa Screen is a certificate that indicates that you passed the CGFNS exam, you passed an English Language exam, and that your Nursing education is similar to that of a US program.
If you passed the CGFNS exam, then you will be issued the Visa Screen certicifate.
You can bring your family. When you fill out the I-140, there is a place to indicate what family members will be coming with you.

Hi alagao23,
In addition to passing the CGFNS exam, one has to meet the English language proficiency in order to obtain the CGFNS certification. However, the requirements for obtaining a Visa screening certificate are quite different when compared to CGFNS certification specifically with regards to the English language proficiency requirement. While the requirement for CGFNS certification is limited to obtaining a 6.5 overall band score for IELTS, for Visa screening a band score of 7 for the speaking module is necessary. The IELTS scoring sheet has to be sent to CGFNS/ICHP board directly from the Examination Administration Board.
The application for the visa screening certification should be done within 2 years completion of the CGFNS examination.

The visa screening certificate can be presented for the visa processing and for nurses it is generally required for the application of their I-140 or green card petition. Once receiving a green card visa, there is no restrictions in you taking your family along with you.
