Requirement questions (Colombian graduate)

Postby EOne on Sat Jan 10, 2009 11:08 pm

Hi,

I'm asking on behalf of my wife. She will be graduating in April 09 from a university in Colombia.

I'm looking at requirements to get CGFNS Certification Program it stated that:

You must also have been registered:
1. as a first-level (registered) nurse in your country of education, and
2. currently hold a registration/license as a Registered Nurse in some jurisdiction.

Does anyone know what's the terminology for the first registration in Colombia, so I can tell my wife? I told my wife for the 2nd registration mentioned above, she need to obtain a nurse license in Colombia.

She has green card, so she is authorized to work in the US, she just need to get US state license and one of the requirement to take state license exam is to get CGFNS CP certificate.

Thanks in advance.
EOne.
