the answer to your question is NO.

your application for eligibility for NCLEX is NOT affected by the retrogression. the California state board will simply determine whether or not you are qualified to take the NCLEX. you may proceed with your application.

A couple of things for you to consider.

1. Retrogression does not in any way affect your ability to apply for the NCLEX exam. Go for it as NCLEX passers are in the biggest demand. When retrogression lifts the demand for NCLEX passers will be huge.

2. Even if you are planning on working in California, you should register for NCLEX in the State of Vermont. This adds one more step to the process up front but can save huge hassles down the road. For a complete explanation of this send me a note and I will be happy to share. rhoppe@healthstaff.org

hi, may i know what is it exactly you mean by "adding one more step" to the process by registering in the state of Vermont and "save huge hassles down the road"?

what is the advantage of registering in the State of Vermont, aside from being registered in California?
